Ok, thought I did this right, but----- Went to friend's bookshelf and found a book I want, clicked right there on her shelf "order this book". When I went to my acct page, it shows it awaiting response from a totally different person! I looked in the help docs and it says I followed the correct procedure. What's up? |

How long was it between when you ordered it and when you saw that on your acct page? Maybe your friend declined it and it rolled to the next person in FIFO?? |

Did you make sure to use the button on the right of the Bookshelf? You can't click into anything and you can't use the Post this Book button that comes up in the yellow window when you hover over the cover. Did your friend know you were ordering it? Maybe they cancelled the request or denied RCs. |

I'm wondering if your friend's real name and her PBS nickname are different. |

Well, it was instantly listed as request going to this other name and address. Emily--- I have been PMing this friend so know her name and city/state which didn't match who the request went to. |

Jeanne - If the other person hasn't accepted the request, you can cancel it and maybe try again with your friend's bookshelf. Maybe there was a glitch? If you clicked on 'Order This Book' from the person's bookshelf, you seemed to have been doing the right thing. |

Did you order it from her SHELF (the listing) or did you then go into the book's DESCRIPTION PAGE then order it? Because if you ordered it from the description page, it would go FIFO. I just tested this theory on your shelf Jeanne, and that's what had to have happened. You have to order it from the list-when you wave your cursor over the "order this book" button, it will order the book from the person's list you are on. If you open the book description, even from their page, it will go to the next FIFO person. Last Edited on: 9/22/10 3:02 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |
