I think that the floods last month are the cause of some lost books that were coming my way.  2 definate and 1 more probable will be/has been marked lost.  If I wait even 3 weeks and the book does come (and I have read several posts lately about lost books showing up waaay late) I know that I have to mark it received.  But, that will mean I have 2 copies and paying 2 credits.  So, now I have 3 books on my reminder list and am afraid to go ahead and re-order.  These books are series books and I want them!  Opinions, anyone?

I was one who started a post about a book showing up after it had been declared lost for over a month.  So, based on my experience, I'd say wait a month after the lost date before you re-order.

You might want to wait a while to see if they show up. I've had a couple books go lost, but within 2 weeks of going lost they end up arriving.  You also may want to check with the sender to make sure the book(s) were indeed mailed on the date they marked them mailed. I've had 1 book go lost and it arrived with a post mark date on it from just earlier that week. They didn't actually ship it on the date they marked it mailed. That has actually happened to me quite a bit lately....receiving books with postmark dates a week or two later then what day they were marked mailed. Hope you receive them soon!

I would hold off a little longer.. I ordered a book from ebay once (went out MM) and it showed up 2 months later!  The other thing I might do is contact the seller and ask if they actually did mail the package the day they marked it on PBS.  I have seen discussions recently about this, as Leann had mentioned- people have different interpretations of what "mailed" means... other times, situations just come up when you can't make it to the post office when you thought you could.. wouldn't hurt to double check with the person though.

I hope yours comes soon though!

If you really want the books, order them!  Life is short, enjoy what you can!  And if you get two copies of a book, oh well, you can always repost the extra one.  Me, personally, I'd rather have two books than none...
