When I order a book, I always look at a member's bookshelf to see if there are others that I would like to order from them! However, I get really frustrated and have pretty much given up doing that. I am often looking for books in a series by a specific author - there is NO WAY to sort their shelf by author! Some people have pages of books on their book shelf - I do not have the time nor energy to go through all of them. Has anyone else had this problem or is it only me? |

One thing you could do is click the PM button next to the request on your main account page. Then click on their name and that will take you to their bookshelf or profile - you can sort by author there. It's a couple of extra steps, but it works! It would be nice if they had different sort options in the "Order more" area. Last Edited on: 1/30/09 7:30 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Just FYI- she'll only get to that PM button on her account page AFTER she has put in the initial order for that first book. So she has to actually request the book first, then she can go in and do the bookshelf sort. There's always the one-hour regret period anyway, in case she decides against it. |

Isn't there a search feature when you look at someones shelf? Just search for the author. |

ACtually, I did this twice yesterday. What it says on the right side of the page above the list of books is "Search/Browse This Member's Books". Click on that and you can sort by author. |
