Hi everyone,

I love the new 'estimate' and 'wishes granted' feature on our wishlists.  But is there any way to order the list of wishlist books using that information?  It's fun looking at my wishlist now that I can see when I should be offered a book, but it's a bother to look through all 200 books every time to find the books that I should be offered soon.

Thanks in advance   :)

Not that I know of, and since those estimates change all the time, it might well be a mess to code. I don't know nuffink about it. LOL

I do know that those estimates are pretty much worthless, at least on my WL...less than a dozen of the 190 books have any estimate at all.

There isnt a way, I have checked! I always like watching it go. The ones that have time on them are usually pretty acurate if not a little slow on the prediction. I am always watching to make sure I have enough credits :)

Right, I have about 130 books on my WL and, perhaps, 6 or 7 have an estimate of arrival. Most of them don't even have a date for "Last Posted." On top of that I would not sort them that way because in many cases I have put three or 4 different editions of each book on my list so as to increase my chances of getting the book.. therefore  when a copy of a book first arrivesit is very important that I quickly delete the other editions and the best way to do that is to sort them by title.

I don't mean to suggest that ordering by wish fufillment date be the Only way, just that it be one of the ways.  Perhaps 10% of my books have last posted or estimates of arrival dates, so I understand that this idea is limited, however searching through 200 books for the 10% that have the extra information is time consuming, and I would just love to see all the books with information together in one spot.

Yes, me too. I often look at the WL and wish I could sort it by my WL position.

What I have done is make my own list of the ones that I am most likely to get next .  My list is only 3 pages so not that hard to search.

There is a way to download the list.  Maybe if you did that you could then sort the books the way you want to look at them - by the estimate.  I don't have many but that would be a great way to check on the status.

I just tried it and it went to a Microsoft Excel program - the estimated dates didn't show up for me.  Because I don't have that many on my WL I headed a column estimate.  Then typed in todays estimates and was able to sort them thar way.  I put in 10 wks, 1 wk 3 wks, if there was no estimate I left it blank.

When it sorted it has the 10 wks first and then goes down.  With 200 on the WL it might seem like a big, big job but once you have it done it would be a neat way to track them.

That's a great option, thank you!

Of course, I'd still love it if PBS would let us do it on the website....   :)
