Not sure if the subject helped tell you what this question is about or not but i couldn't think of what I wanted to say. 

Ok I got an option for a wl book the other day and I clicked that I wanted it shipped to me.  So when it went to my "Books I've Requested" section I clicked on the order more from member.  I found another book I wanted so I ordered it.  Today they will both have timed out and my one will get sent back to the wl which i am fine with but now I find out that the other one is WL'd not also.  What happens to me will it go to my wl or do i need to add it?  I've never had this happen to me before.  Since there were copies in the system when I ordered it I wasn't on the wl I would have to say that it shouldn't go to my wl but since i ordered it shouldn't I get the next available copy?????  Just wondering what will happen later today when they time out does anyone know?

I still want them both.  One had been on my wl and i got it offered to me so it will go back to my wl which i'm ok with.  Its the other one i'm not sure about.  When  I ordered it there were 5 copies in the system  now there are 6 members wishing.  I was never a wishing member on it so I'm not sure if I need to add it since i still want it or if since its now a wl book if it will just go on my wl since I ordered it. 

And the pesrson has untill 11 pm today to mark it mailed so that could still happen but I'm not hopeful.  I've had them time out I know what happens with the wl books I'm just not sure what will happen with the one that was not a wl book at the time I orderd it.  I've never had a book that timed out not be wl'd when I ordered it but be when it timed out.

I think it'll go on your WL with you in #1 because your initial request was before the others added it to WL.  (unless someone had the book on their WL, went on vacation, book was posted-you ordered it and they are now off vacation-then you would be after them).  That's what happened to me when I ordered the last copy of a book and it timed out.  I went on WL at #1 and there were a couple of people after me.

I'm pretty sure, since you ordered the book before whoever put it on the wishlist, if the order times out you should be at #1 in line. That makes the most sense. Let us know...hopefully the person will respond and you'll get both of them so it won't even be an issue. :)

I would still like to know the answer to this question if it has happened to anyone eles or if anyone knows.  I don't need the info now because the sender just marked them mailed with 4 hours to spare untill they got timed out.  *Sigh*  I'm still curious how the situation would have played out if they had timed out but am extremly happy that they did not time out ; )  some small part of me that is the curious cat almost wished they had so I would know the answer oh well maybe I'll have to do and experiment later!

When it happened to me a couple times, the book went on my wishlist. If I recall correctly, I was at the top of the list, since I requested it before they wishlisted it.

Did you check your wish list for the book?

Have they timed out or going to time out tonight?   The book should be put on our wish list

Per the help docs:

What if the sender does not respond within 5 days?

• If there is another copy of the book available:
  • your request will automatically be passed along to a new sender. 
  • This will happen at the end of the 5th day  (in the middle of the night)
  • You will not get an email notifying you if this happens.
• If there is not another copy of the book available:
  • the request will be canceled
  • you will get your credit back
  • the book will go onto your Wish List automatically. 
  • You will get an email notifying you if this happens.

Yes, if the transaction had been canceled, it would have gone onto your wish list.  Your place in the WL line is determined by the date you added the book to your WL.  Your date would be the date you ordered the book, and you would have been #1 on the wish list, unless someone had ordered it earlier than you, and their book had arrived damaged or gone lost, or the transaction had been canceled.  Or if they had had their bookshelf on vacation hold, or the book on wish list hold, and then they took it off hold.
