I want to order 2 books from a series.  Book 2 has 15 copies in the system and Book 3 has 3 copies in the system.  Is there any way I can see if one member has both books on their bookshelf to be swapped?  I selected Order this book for Book 3 and was given the option to order more from the swapper, but she didn't have book number 2 so I canceled the order right away.  Thanks for any help.

You could ask about this in the genre forum. There is a thread called "Is This On Your Bookshelf?" in the Love & Romance and Mystery & Thrillers forums where you can ask if forum folks have certain books (for non-WL books) on their Shelf. I don't know the genre of the books you're looking for, but there's a good chance there's a thread like that in that forum.

I don't visit the Bazaar forum but I think you could probably ask there, too. Otherwise it's a crap shoot and pure luck.

The books are offered FIFO (first in first out) so it is likely that if there are 3 copies of one book and 15 of the other... that when the 3 copies were posted it was between when the copies of the other one were. And there is no guarantee that one person has both books. The book with only 3 copies may be more popular than the other so it might not sit around and accumulate like the other one.

There probably isn't a way for you to get both books from the same person since the books are going to be offered to you in the same order. Every time you request Book 3, it will be from the same person since they are next in line. If you look to view more on their shelf and Book 2 is not there... then you could try the same thing with Book 2 next in line owner... if they don't have the other book they just don't. You can't skip to members further in the line.

I can recommend the Books Bazaar, and ask if anyone has both books. If someone answers you saying they have both, then you could order both books directly from their shelf. Otherwise you will have to order the 2 books you want from the current position in request line, and likely from different people. It's still one credit and keeps the order of things. :)

I agree with pioneervalleygirl, ask in the genre forum or BB.  Although we cannot ask for wishlisted books, it is allowed to ask about non-wishlisted books.  And another member would probably love to save on postage if they have both books to offer you!!

You can check by starting to request one of the books but before completing the order, click on the order more from this member and see other books on their bookshelf. You can then cancel or back out of the order without actually ordering it if you want.

You can use the Box-O-Books search to search by author. If someone who is a boxer has both books, you'll be able to find them that way.

I use Box-O-Books first...and if I don't find someone, I start ordering individual books like Lsressler, look at the bookshelf and usually can find someone with multiples.
