I have two members that Pm'd with a deal offer I said yes to both. They then responded that they have ordered. Neither order has shown up in my account yet. One person ordered two hours ago.....why would this happen and has it happened to anyone else? (Of course I am assuming that they did in fact order)
*******ok nevermind they just showed up........Gosh when did I get so impatient?******* Last Edited on: 10/20/09 10:13 AM ET - Total times edited: 3 |

This would happen if they didn't order from you. They have to click "Order This Book" on your bookshelf page, not on the book details page. |

LOL - you had me worried I'd ordered from someone else :) I just checked and it did go to you |

All book requests go into a 1hr Buyers Remorse (except for non-autorequest WL offers). So that's why you didn't see them for an hour. |

"Buyers Remorse" Jeez when did this start..........I mean really its not like we are buying a new car. ....lol.....whats next a credit back guarantee if we don't like the book after we read it. Im not trying to be difficult but when I search for a book and order it I want it.......I know an hour doesnt really make a difference in the grand scheme of the club. But Like this morning I know these people have ordered. I have a doctors appt. so I want to get them ready and mailed this am. If your like me you go on the bazaar and offer deals......so while I am waiting to get the order someone else could come in and order you freebies books out from under the other person and mess up your deal. Also I was just thinking will the book go to the first person who ordered it.....because I noticed that the ordered book is still on my shelf.....so could someone else looking at your shelf come in and order it..........just curious one last thing.......is this all covered in the help docs....cause I proably could have saved myself some typing........lol |

The buyer's remorse has been there as long as I've been a member. It come in handy in deals especially because sometimes people do order from the wrong people and it gives them time to cancel the incorrect order. While the book is in the buyer's remorse period, no one else can see it on your shelf. If you go to the book on your shelf it will show a grey (!) where the check box should be. That shows that the book has been requested. If you don't want to deal with the buyer's remorse period when you offer deals, tell the people to send you a PM from the book request. That will cancel the remorse period and immediately send you the requests. I do this a lot when I take someone up on book offers so that they don't have to wait or come back later to get the request. |

I was going to say what Melanie said. Send the PM from the book request and it will show right up on their page. I do it too, when I make an order in the Book Bazaar. |
