I found this book to be a good resource for someone looking to get started with organic gardening. As with other books in the "For Dummies Series," it does repeat things numerous times (then again, I read it cover to cover to learn more about the topic which isn't how the book should be used, lol). Everything is spelled out in easy to understand terms, but I wish that there were more pictures. There is a very small color picture section in the middle of the book, but it really doesn't do much for the book. I would have preferred the climate index map had been in color rather than shades of gray or illustrations of specific plants or plant problems for reference rather than just a few flowery pictures to make things look pretty. All in all, the book is easy to follow and touches upon many of the basics that one might need to get started.
