I haven't read many of his books, but he's one of my favorite authors. I have read all the Ender books, Enchantment, Empire, Magic Street, and Invasive Proceedures. What other books of his should I read? I own the Homecoming series, but I haven't read it yet. Is it good? What are your favorites?

oh thanks for responding! i was starting to worry!

Enders series was teh last series i read by him..although of course it was great, i fell in love way before that (hate his politics but his writing, i love).

the homecoming series is great!!!!!!!!  that was the first series i read.  about having to leave earth and finding a way back. i think there were 5 books in that series but ill have to look it up since its been forever!

Alvin Maker was awesome.  apparently it was based on John Smith (of the Mormoms...b/c Orson is Mormon).  those were great and very much fantasy as opposed to sci fi as much.

there were other books individually that are good too. Saints gives a neat hist. fiction account of the Mormons.   I cant say that i have ever been disappointed in any of his books, other than one he wrote last year (of a political nature) that im not convinced was even his writing.

I just finished "Ender's Game" for the second time. First time was 20+ years ago. It was a good book.

Alex, I love Card!  I don't read this forum much, so I didn't see your question before.  Ender's Game (and the series) is definitely my favorite.  I thought Homecoming was good, but not anywhere near as good.  It actually parallels the Book of Mormon quite a bit.  I think Card does that a lot, but if you weren't mormon, you wouldn't know it--does that make sense?  You'd have to read someone else that he did.

I'm a big fan of Card.  I've read all of his books except for the most recent one, and I own about 15 or so of them.

In addition to his popular series, I really liked Enchantment, Pastwatch, and The Worthing Saga.
