I consider myself a Higgins fan and think I've read all of her books. This is not a happy little romance, which is what I was hoping for. If you want a funny/bitter well-told tale of a woman being cheated on and finding her way with the help of her friends and family then this may be the book for you. If you are looking for a Higgins small town romance, this is not that book.

This was a very easy read and enjoyed it from start to finish. The first few chapters, I found very funny.

Fun read. Lillie's only son is graduating from high school & off to Montana for college in the fall. Her husband of 25 years drops a bomb on her the night before graduation that he is leaving her for another much younger woman and to find his "joy" in life. Feeling of betrayal, denial and....revenge. Their life on small Cape Cod collides when he weds a wealthy widow and they live nearby. In the end, life takes some amazing & rewarding twists and turns.
