I read Outlander last year and am just now starting Dragonfly in Amber but I can't remember how Outlander ended. Can someone give me a quick rundown with all the spoilers?

SPOILER ALERT!!

Monica, I'll try to hit the highlights:

Claire was kidnapped and about to burn at the stake for being a witch.  Jamie saved her and when they went away, she confessed to him she was from the future.  He still loved her despite this, saying it would have been easier had she really been a witch.  He takes her to the stones she came through but she can't leave him.  They went to Lallybroch.  The Black Watch eventually captures Jamie and he's taken into custody, and eventually Wentworth prison and Black Jack, who tortures him. She rescues him with help and they go to the abbey to help him heal.  He fights his demons and they reconcile. It ends with them in a pool of water and she hints she's pregnant to Jamie.

I love Jamie & Claire! For a special treat, listen to the audio books. Both the abbreviated and full-length versions do the British accent (Claire), the Scotch burrs and even American accents (Brianna). Since it takes La Gabaldon several years to write a new book, I like to listen to the abbreviated version before a new one comes out, to refresh my memory. The full-length versions are also very good but come on about 40 CDs.
