This isn't the typical zombie book, in fact there are not any "zombies" in it. It is a good apocalyptic book, something has happened but you are not sure why or how. I like the fact the setting isn't typical. Nice small group of survivors, who are up against the environment,lack of resources,infected and themselves. The ending is a cliff hanger, which I don't like, you want to know how things eventually unfolded. Possibly in is other novels we will find out.
