Interesting sci-fi involving time travel, aliens, alternate history, and an alien world. I enjoyed the characters in this story, especially the main character, Felicitas, who has been held in an alien prison and has connections to an alien race and who in the end is the only one who can save the people on an alien world descended from humans from 16th century earth. Okay - that's the gist of this story! In the end, I found the story to be a little ponderous and would only give this one a mild recommendation.
