The blurb about this book made it sound like it was going to be riotously funny. Book starts out with the main character's house being stolen (yes, his _whole_ house), then he gets chased around by not only an encyclopedia saleswoman, but also by four Riders: Famine, Pestilence, War, and... Jeff. That's pretty freaking funny right? Well, not for me, at least not outloud funny. Yeah, lots of little things like that are quite amusing, but the closest I came to laughing was the one time when I snorted at some line. Don't get me wrong, I still liked the book, but I'm afraid I went into it expecting something quite different. There was a lot more philosophizing and talk about knowing one's self and about death (in this case of a friend) than I was expecting. The twist at the end was pretty good though it felt a tad rushed. Hopefully if people read this review, they won't be expecting something different than what (I feel) the book turned out to be.

I think the part I liked best in this book was the first chapter from the author's next book! That was pretty intriguing! I sincerely hope that the next book doesn't turn out to be so different than I expect.

A very weird idea of a future, but still a good read. I didn't see the end coming!
