Harry Radcliffe is a total bastard, but a brilliant architect. Ever since he went a little mad, his life has been a little... surreal. Now he finds himself in Europe, building a museum devoted to dogs for a Middle Eastern emir who hates him and charmed away one of Harry's girlfriend. And, oh yeah, the museum may be more than just a museum. The set-up is interesting, but I had a very hard time dragging up sympathy for Harry and most of the other characters. They're interesting, just not very likable. I hung around just to figure out what the heck Carroll was getting it. The book wasn't a total waste of time, but I can definitely think of things I would rather have been doing.
