A stand-alone mystery from the author of the April Woo series.
I fuond this book in the bargain bin. I didnt think it was going to be very good but to my suprise i did enjoy it.
This is a truly laugh out loud book involving infidelity and the IRS!! A light summer read that would make the perfect Lifetime movie.
Cassandra Sales is a woman with a gift for nurturing things -- her husband, Mitch, her two children, the fabulous flowers in her garden. Cassie considers her marriage stable and her life ordinary -- until she is thrown the ultimate curveball: her darling Mitch is a schemer and a philanderer. How far will Cassie go to regain control of her life? Starting with a face-life and faster than you can say "cheating cad," she's out for revenge. But the road to retribution can lead to unpredictable and somethimes deadly complications.
Appealed by my taste for revenge. Not that I would ever kill anyone.
Cassie is a middle-aged housewife whose successful husband is rarely around anymore. She decides that a facelift is just the ticket to revive her marriage. When hubby comes home from a business trip and sees her, he collapses and goes into a coma. Cassie has to take care of everything and discovers a lot of shady things going on.
Stupid story! Stupid wife! Stupid children! Nothing else to be said---just stupid
I have a higher standard for books than this one!
BACK OF BOOK:
Cassandra Sales is a woman with a gift for nurturing things---her husband, the successful wine importer; her two adult children; the fabulous flowers in her garden. After 26 years of marriage, however, Cassie's husband, Mitch, is spending more time skipping abroad than remaining at home with her. Tired of being a modest Long Island housewife who can't even remember what it's like to be kissed, Cassie has a face-life to recapture her youthful allure. The surprise for her husband goes ary when Mitch returns home early from a business trip. When he sees the post-op horror show, he collapses on the spot. The resulting coma may spare Mitch from the tax audit he's facing, but Cassie is forced to step in and research the facts of her own life. What she discovers about Mitch and the family business shocks her to the core: her "loving" husband was preparing to divorce her, swindle her out of tons of month, and run off with another woman. As Cassie recuperates, she realizes that what she is after is revenge. Big-time. But she soon learns that the road to retribution can lead to unforeseen and often deadly complications.
