I'm currently reading a short story by P.J. Mellor called "Heat Wave" which is part of the anthology "Feel the Heat" about firefighters. This story is so hilarious, I've had to smother my laughter to keep from waking up my husband.

My question, as I've never read her before, are any of her other books humorous also.

Right now I'm having a difficult time getting past the part about using too much of the stimulating oil...can't stop laughing enough...visualizing the scene...to get to the next page.

Any info or suggestions?

Thanks for you time...Sandy

Sandra ,

I've only read one of her books and it was an anthology. I cant remember the name of it ( I'll look for it in my transactions)  It was really funny ,I've wanted to read more of her books if they where funny also.

All I remember was the H in the book was a cowboy and he had a horse with a really funny name and he always was having conversations with the horse that where really funny. I think his horse would bite him all the time.  I'll try to find the name of the book for you.

Lisa,

Thanks for answering my post!  I'm pleased to know there is another story by her that is funny also. I enjoy reading a laugh-out-loud romance once in a while. They don't seem easy to find.

One I love is "The Perfect Match" by Ginna Gray that has a scene with a dog, a cat, a scatter rug and some plants that involves the hero. I've read a couple by Day Leclaire. There was another about a large dog, maybe a St. Bernard and an outdoor scene...can't remember the author or the title.

Have a good evening and Thanks so much for your time...Sandy
