That's so weird that this weeks meditation is about positive thinking and talks about the law of attraction.  The last few months I've really been working on thinking more positively and being a more positive person.  And I'm currently reading the book "The Law Of Attraction", and had read the book "The Secret" before that, along with a couple of other books about being positive and releasing all of the negative in your life.

I really liked this weeks meditation.  I have a hard time visualizing in general, unless of course it's something negative, and an even harder time visualizing something positive.  So while it was hard for me to visualize the things in the meditation it's something I've been trying to do lately, and find it so odd that this meditation came up at this moment.

I will defnitely keep trying this one so that I can get better at visualizng the way I want things in my life to be, I think this one could be a big help to me.

Malinda, it is an interesting meditation.  I had a little trouble with the visualization as well.  That seems to be my weak point in relaxation.

I am intrigued with the law of attraction that was presented in this meditation (think positively about stuff, you get positive results; think negatively, you get negative results)  I've read this idea in many books.  Could it be so simple?   I am a skeptic as with everything.  LOL  I have often wondered why sometimes I go into things and everything seems to aligned--including my attitude.  Then other times it seems to be battle from the start and I don't get the results I expected.

What do others think?

Melody, the more positive I've become over the last few months the more I'm starting to believe there is something to the law of attraction.  I haven't done it to the extent of visualizing something big or specific and you'll get it.

I've done it more as just be more positive, don't always focus on the negative.  And it's surprising how things have turned out.  I don't know if it's more of I just don't notice the negative since I've been more focused on the positive.  Or if those negative things just don't happen like they used to, but I find it very odd.

For example, holidays with my family are usually torture.  I don't get along with my SIL and everyone is usually arguing for some reason or another.  This year for Easter I went into it thinking that I'm going to have a good time.  This is my holiday too and I don't want to hear any arguing and I'm going to have a good time.   And I actually did.  There was none of the usual arguing and I actually had fun with my family.

My sister is the same way, including with her in-laws.  She has been doing this with me and she said the same thing.  She had fun at her in-laws for the first time ever on Easter and then she had fun with our family.

And the more we've been talking about being positive, the more things we see about it.  Like people talking to us about the same thing out of the blue, or someone on a show that is discussing a book about it, or people emailing me motivational emails, and both my sister and I have seen ads on the internet about having a positive day and things like that.  It's weird, but then we get into the whole "were those things always there and we just never noticed? or are these things happening because we've been more focused on it?"

I too would like to hear what others think.

Fascinating!  I have similar experiences.  I've been thinking about finances and how I need to make more money.  I was working on that (something like an affirmation "I am bringing more money into my life")  Now I have this "favor" from my brother to take care of his dogs and he'll pay me.  Coincidence?  Or is this a little offering from the universe?

Also, I mentioned it in CMT.  We've been discussing the evolution/creation ideas.  Then today in the newspaper there is an article about an evangelical who used to be against evolution and now he works towards teaching it as a part of Christianity.  Strange how that happens.  Why did it appear now?

About your instance, I find if I go into things with attitude I usually end up in a bad situation, family gathering, etc.  If I go in with a positive mind set or even a "whatever will be" type of mindset, things go better.  I'm not sure, like you said, if negative things don't happen or if it's my attitude towards them changes.  Maybe they don't affect me quite so much.

But then I wonder why I can get through minor crisis so well and then something like crumbs on the counter will set me over the edge for the day.  I'm human, that's what!  LOL

Anyone else have experiences with the Law of Attraction?
