Yahoo spammed it, and it looks very much like a phishing/spam kind of email might... can anyone confirm whether PBS powers really sent this???

I'd say no as they did not mention it in the newsletter 2 days ago.

It's legit and from the PBS folks.

This was posted in the Tour Guide forum:\

PaperBackSwap NewsWire

We'll give you something to talk about....  We're looking for member input on the club, and we will be sending out survey emails to random members in the next couple of weeks.  When you get one of these emails (it will come from librarian@paperbackswap.com and it will have the PBS logo in the message body), click the link inside to take the survey.   The surveys will be short, and your responses will help us make decisions about what direction to take new features in the club.   So if you get a survey email, please take a few minutes to take the survey.  Your opinions could have a big impact!

Dear

Yes, it sure is legit. We appreciate your help if you are willing to take the survey. We did mention that we would be sending out surveys to select members a couple of Newsletters ago, but we can understand why this would be surprising since we have never done this before.

Thanks for checking with us!

I was pleased to find it in my email. I liked that they asked about the current WishList size and if we thought that the system worked well as it is now. I am not a big proponent  : ) of the proposed ranking of Wishlist books and I felt that this was a calm and effective way to state my preferences.

Maybe they are looking to go with the majority vote.  I am glad they are asking for members feedback.

I just took the survey.  And threw in another vote for don't change the WL , actually I told them I didn't think they should really change anything.  I mean a few tweaks here and there, but nothing with regard to how the club operates.  I like PBS the way it is   :  D

If I got one then my spam filter already ate it.

I got it.

I completed it.

I told them I like the current FIFO wishlist format because it almost guaranteed that if I wishlisted it & was patient, if it became available, I would get it when it was offered.

I did say that I would like a larger wishlist.

I also said that I would not mind paying for a PBS membership.  Yes, they asked that & gave a few choices for amounts. I wouldn't be happy about it since I already pay for DC & some credits to help out with expenses.
