I have received books in such great condition, and I've met some really wonderful, generous people on the Book Bazaar.

Imagine my surprise when I received a book with numerous creases on the spine, almost every page has been dog-eared, and the edges of the book are, uh, dirty.  I marked the book without a problem, since I don't think dog-eared pages are against the rules, but I probably won't be reposting this one.

However, on a positive note, I received two book bazaar deals this week.  One package was a two for one deal, and the books looked practically new.  The other packages was a four for one on hardbacks!!!  all in great condition!

Yes, most definitely all good!  :)  Maybe I should have made that more clear in the first post:  the books I receive from PBS members are mostly in good or excellent condition.  Some look practically new!  Really cool for a used book swap site!  :)

EDIT: and the members are so nice!

Most of my books have lots of creases in the spine - I thought that was ok?  Now that I'm a member of PBS I try not to do that to any new books though.

It's totally OK.  I just got spoiled on my "like new" books.

I'm not sure about lots of dog-eared pages, but I think it's still postable.

The book as you describe it sounds in "fair" condition, but acceptable. I hear you on being spoiled as the majority of the ones I have gotten have been in downright excellent condition, the rest almost all good, and a couple fair.

Just want to jump in and say that yes, dog-eared is postable.  As John said, sounds like the book was acceptable by PBS Guidelines, just not as good as you had been getting! ;-)

Glad you are enjoing PBS, Sheena!

Hey Sheena!  :::waving:::

I've been one of the unlucky ones I guess where most of mine have been "loved" way too much. and some have been unpostable unfortunately. This does help however in my decision to post back so it evens out. If I received more books in pristine condition I would probably be keeping more than reposting.
