Attached is the PM exchange I have had with this person. The book was marked as mailed and label printed on 6/5, the same date she PMed me in the first place:

Thanks, but I wanted this one for ONE recipe in it (can you believe) that I remember being just delicious. Just say you can't find it, no love lost and I'll get my credit back.

So sorry, but I can't find it (my give-aways are in an unlocked room that other employees can use). I'm keeping your messages in case it reappears. Regardless, I'm still giving a second book for free.

My account says you have sent the book. If you had marked it that you couldn't send it because you find it, I would get my credit back and your account would not be harmed. I only wanted this book. If you haven't sent the book, I'll now have to wait until Paberback Exchange declares it "lost in the mail" over a month from now. I don't want anything else on your bookshelf.

Are you sure the member that sent you the PM is the member that marked it mailed? The member that PMed you may have cancelled the transaction and it rolled to another member who sent the book and marked it mailed. If so, the cancelled transaction could be seen in your transaction archive.

If it is the same sender, ask her to contact PBS and cancel the order, since she didn't really mail it (it has to be the sender that contacts them). Then you will get the credit back much faster.

Click on the PM button on the transaction that is enroute to you, is it the same person?

If the book was not a Wish List book and there were other copies available, the minutee she hit cancel on the transaction the system would have requested another copy for you from the next person with the book and the book coming would not be from this same member that couldn't find the book.

If it is the same person, PM her and tell her to use Feedback via the Contact Us link in the lower right Under Company and ask the PBSTeam to cancel the transaction because she did not mail the book. If she does find it, she can repost it at that time for swapping.

Its not the same person! I didn't know it could do that...Well, see! Posting here just now makes me sound like a big ol' snark. Learn something new every day. Thanks, everyone! I thought she was telling me she didn't have it yet mailed me something else.


And Melanie: Thank you for the work you are doing in rescue (the kittehs). I have the honor of living with 2 cats myself, both rescues.
