I mailed a WL book to someone.  My last DC scan says that the USPS left a notice last Friday for them to pick it up.  Should I PM the person to see if they got their book???  What happens if they don't pick it up???  Will it come back to me??  If it comes back to me, what happens to my credit??  Sorry for all the questions, I just haven't had this happen to me yet.

I would PM them to make sure they know it's waiting for them.  The little cards the post office leaves can be easily overlooked sometimes.

There's been some bad weather - maybe they haven't been able to get to the post office.  Just a thought

I hadn't thought about the weather.  It times out next Friday.  I'll let it go a few more days before I send a PM.

Last year, I had my first book that went lost. When I finally contacted the sender about it, she initially expressed anger at me for "wasting" her time and money because it had been returned "refused" (her words, though I believe more likely "unclaimed"); when I explained that I was never notified, she was only slightly less hostile. She had assumed it was my fault (in some way)  that the transaction had been botched, so was adamant that she wasn't goinng to "waste time" telling me it had been returned (until I wrote to her), so she had it sitting there for a couple of weeks before it went missing while I waited.

I've also received a "2nd notice" slip without ever having seen a "1st" one a couple of times.

Sorry to have vented, but much as I like the guys at my station, the P O does sometimes mess up.
