Perhaps it isn't easy to create interest in such an extended period as the Paleozoic Era. The era began with the Cambrian explosion and ended with the Permian extinction. However, during this time, invertebrate animals diversified in the oceans. In addition, some amphibians, plants, and reptiles moved to the land. All of these changes would lead to the age of the Dinosaurs.
