If you are familiar with Jeff Abbott through his Jordan Poteet books this thriller is a vast departure from those books. Think action movie with car chases, guns blazing, covert operations, etc.

I got caught up in the main characters life even though it's a bit improbable.

Evan Casher, is a twenty-something documentary film maker who's life begins to spiral out of control when he finds his mother brutally murdered and narrowly escapes the same fate. He realizes that everything he's ever known as truth about his parents is up for grabs. He tries to unravel the mysteries of mom's slaughter, find dad, and keep his new girlfriend satisfied.

The storyline was stretched just a bit too far for me. Evan's transformation from nerdy film boy to super-spy had me in fantasy land. Not always a bad place to be when reading a thriller. Evan magically matches wits and heavy weapons with steely-eyed operatives who are more comfortable handling Berettas than movie cameras. And, I'm not giving away the ending.

This book is like a fast, fun, thrill-seeking adventure ride.

It has very little down-time in the action department. If you're looking for something sedate, this book isn't for you. But if you're looking for non-stop rollercoaster action, check this book out.
