I received this book as a Goodreads first-reads winner.

There are some really enjoyable parts of this book and I especially liked the author's unusual sense of humor. The characters are complex people but she does an amazing job of helping you get to know them. The problem I had is that there wasn't anyone relatable and I had a hard time really caring about their stories for extended periods of time.

This is obviously a gifted author and I will read other works by her but this story didn't pull me in the way I had hoped it would when I read the description.
