I was supprised. I really got sucked into this book and was sad when it was over. Great story about a young lady trying to decide if she should follow tradition or her heart. Caution to parents: there is one intense rape scene (not graphic) that does strongly affect the character's development.

If you're well versed in Chinese mythology, most of the references in this book is going to seem heavy handed to you. Otherwise it's a great story of a reluctant heroine.

I really enjoyed this book. Origami and the blending of the fantastical and mythical make for a very interesting novel.

Enjoyed this story very much. Very believable fantasy with a journey plot. Wonderful reminder of "self-determination" in the truest sense.
