2 for 1 is always a good deal. Both books are excellent read. I was caught up in The Pardon from the beginning, then swept up in Beyond Suspicion. Had a hard time putting either of them down. The author is very good at capturing your attention and surprising you all along the way. I recommend this to all mystery lovers.

The pardon

Defense attorney Jack Swyteck cannot forgive his father, the governor, for allowing Jack's client to be executed for a murder he may not have committed. But a brilliant psychopath has targeted them both for revenge, so son and father must work together . . . or die.

Beyond suspicion

Jack Swyteck falls victim to a beautiful con artist when he inadvertently helps an ex-girlfriend pull off a $1.5 million insurance scam. And when her dead body is discovered in his bathtub, Swyteck's suddenly a homicide suspect and forced to run for his life.
