I have read all but the Irish stories that Mr. Rutherfurd has written. I have always loved well researched historical novels and this authors books are among my favorites. "Paris' was an introduction for me to French history. I was able to learn a lot. The characters were well developed and the events were well captured within the lives depicted. My only criticism was that sometimes it was a little difficult to go back and forth in time with the events and characters. This aside, I strongly recommend the book.
