Sheltering fram an air raid with an aling stranger, a pretty but awkward teen-ager is launched into an adventure by a letter he gave her just before he died.She finds herself in an eccentric farm family far from blacked-out London. There she grows and matured as winter turns to spring and the two boys she thought she loved fades from her heart. Mary Wesley fans will not be disappointed.
