We're pilgrims and strangers, we're just passing through
We're not of the many, but one of the few.
We were here long enough to prepare to go,
But not long enough to adjust here below.

The short time we were here, we did not fit in.
We were strangers in a world full of sin.
But, then, we knew it was not meant for us to.
For we were pilgrims, we were just passing through.

God sent enough joy here to make us content.
And enough sorrow to be glad when we went.
It's been a good journey with the faithful few,
Now, we bid goodbye; we were just passing through.
