60% Poetry and 40% Story...

I thought the story for this book was pretty well done, although it can be quite depressing depending on how you view it. The one thing that discouraged me about this book was the fact that the author wrote it in such a way that the reader was subjected to so much visual poetry. For example, without trying to ruin the basis of the book, a character departs from the presence of the main character and the description only occupies one paragraph (3 sentences); meanwhile, the description of a specific location and moment in time plays on with bumbling words, for 1-3 pages, in a continuous and descriptive form of poetic form that, I personally, felt was uninteresting. As a result, I regarded this matter with glossy eyes and only scanned this portion of the text.
