I would like to reccommend the "Thoroughly Southern Mystery" series by Patricia Sprinkle. She is a Christian writer, but isn't at all "preachy." Her books are printed by secular publishing houses, which surprises me, because she does mention God quite a bit. There is a great deal of humor as well as mystery. If you have lived in the south, you will definately appreciate this series. Also, she certainly doesn't denigrate Christians or feel she has to be politically correct. I'm not good at writing reviews, so I just wanted to tell you that I liked the whole series, and hope you will also.

I am really glad to know that about her mystery books.  I have seen some of her CF books at the bookstore, and I've always wanted to check out the mysteries, but I hesitate to read stuff published by secular publishers.
