I picked this book up at at a Goodwill, because I liked the cover. I started to read it and fell in love with Savannah. I love books with strong female characters.

Savannah doesn't take herself to serious. I love that about her. She also doesn't mind not being skinning...at least she's fit and can take a bad guy down with out breaking a sweat

I went looking to see if this author had more books and to my horror she has, I think I counted 13 or maybe 14 books in this series....I read the book out of order.....Oh gosh the horror. I HATE READING BOOKS OUT OF ORDER. This book is number 7. I'm now trying to collect all of her books from Paperback and other places that may have it. Ah...the life of a book addict :0)

Did I mention that this book is full of humor?

This is a fun installment of this series because it takes place in Georgia, and we get to see the town where Savannah Reid grew up and a lot of her friends and relatives. Very entertaining with a lot of astute observations about family dynamics.

7th book in the Savannah Reid mystery series

Plus-sized private eye Savannah Reid is about to discover the answer to that age-old question: what could be worse than going back home to the rural deep South in the height of August humidity? It's going home to a wedding-not your own-without a ring on your finger or a date on your arm. A flourescent satin bridesmaid's dress that makes her look like an immense inverted orange tulip doesn't help matters, but that's the least of Savannah's problems after her kid brother is arrested for murder...

Plus-sized and Proud of It, ex-cop turned California PI Savannah Reid takes a trip back to Georgia for her sister's wedding and finds one of her brothers in jail with ex-beau Deputy Tommy Stafford (98% of the reason she left Georgia) in charge. Things go from bad to worse and Savannah is thrilled when pals Dirk and Tammy from California show up to help. The ending was not a surprise (as the cover promised)but that doesn't ruin the fun.

If you enjoyed the previous Savannah Reid books, you will also enjoy this one. G.A. McKevett keeps you guessing until the very end! Takes place in Savannah's home town in the state of Georgia and the family members who live there.
