Peanut butter chicken soup

Dish: Soups
Dish Type: Other
Cooking Method: Stove Top
Difficulty: 1 / 10
Servings: 4 to 6
Prep Time: 5 minutes or less
Cook Time: 20 minutes or less

Ingredients
  • 3 to 4 cups - chcien broth as desired for quantity.
  • 2 to 4 table spoons - peanut butter, crunchy if desired
  • 1/4 to 1 teaspoons - crushed red pepper
  • to taste dash - salt as desired.
Directions

boil chicken if not cooked or open a can of chicken breast meat.  Heat the meat up or cook it in chicken broth.  when the chicken is cooked, add more broth if it has boiled away so there is lots of liquid.  add some crushed red pepper to taste.  you can  make this as hot as you like or just spice it up a bit.  add peanut butter to thicken and "spice" the soup.  salt as desired.

This is a easy dish that can be served as a side or main dish.  it is quick and easy and very tasty.  NO MATTER HOW BAD THE NAME SOUNDS, IT IS AWESOME!!!

serve the soup over rice.  Enjoy  this recipe from Liberia, Africa.

I'm not sure about this in all honesty. But I was raised to never turn a frown unless you try it. So I'll be fixing this soon..

I also make this dish from Gambia, Africa. Instead of chicken broth, I use a full jar of peanut butter, and a can of tomato paste with crushed red pepper and salt (optional). I will have to try this your way. It sounds yummy!
