Hi Katie, Welcome to this forum. Yes, you have just read some chick lit. I would describe chick lit as stories with women as the main characters. The women often times have a bit of an attitude, are witty, sarcastic and fun. There is usually some light romance too at least in the ones I have read. My favorite publisher of Chick lit (I swear I should do commercials as I alway mention then) is Red Dress Ink. If you do a general search for them here you will end up with a lot of "chick lit" books from which to choose. So other authors besides Jane Green that don't go through them are Sophie Kinsella, Emilly Giffin and Meg Cabot, to name a few. :) |

I love chic lit too. I've read a couple of Jane Green and Jennifer Weiner's books and want to find everything else they've written. I love Meg Cabot, Jennifer Crusie and Janet Evanovich. |
