This is my first PW novel WOW!!! I thought it was beautiful. I might try Passions of Emma next. Does it take Emma and her hero a very long time to consumate their romance? I found that slightly annoying in The Outsider - so long to wait.

I can't think of a way to answer that might not be a spoiler, so I'll just say yes, and it's an issue for some people, but it's a very good book and worth it.

I would suggest reading the AAR review first, but ironically, it was the AAR review, as glowing as it was, that kept me from starting it for so long.  It's an amazing, one of a kind book, and I'm glad I read it - will probably read it again.  There's not a quick consumation in there though, and the resolution certainly doesn't happen quickly either.  But it's romance on a whole other level.  I'd almost call it romantic fiction if it weren't for the sex & the given HEA.
