Bio of Gordon Langley Hall, biographer, born a hermaphrodite and later after an operation becomes Dawn Simmons, marries inter-racially, and supposedly has a child. Many twists and turns to this true story.

"Although it is a biography of Hall, Peninsula of Lies is also equal parts mystery as Ball tracks down key figures from Hall's life, attempts to separate truth from legend and find the points at which the two intersect." amazon

Pure escapism- unimportant, good reading. To his credit, the author does get to the bottom of the main questions of Dawn's life.
