Penny Pinchin' Mama was a pretty good book... for those who are starting out, there are some good suggestions on frugality. Most of the content in the book is kind of common sense, however.

I recommend looking up Amy Dacyzn's Tightwad Gazette or Jonni McCoy's "Miserly Moms" -- both books that I have read and found have a bit more substance. Or Jennifer Basye's "101 Best Extra-Income Opportunities for Women" (Although it's a bit older of a book!) for ideas on things to do to make extra money for your family.
