Is this just me or are others experiencing this lately? Frustrating. deb/AL

Yes, and it's driving me crazy. It's almost always books from the same series lately too, and while they're sitting in limbo, others get posted that I miss out on because they go to the next person on the WL. I'm just hours away from having it time out again without a response.

So, no, it's not just you. You do get the book eventually, but it can take a few annoying attempts before it happens.

I am lost how many days do they have to mark it accepted???? I am afraid someone who offered me a deal...hasnt marked the books and if it goes to the next person I will not get the deal of 5 for 2...no reply to pms......I am kinda concerned

I think that with the huge influx of new members in the last year - thanks to all the TV advertising on news shows on saving money - that lots of people join but use their 2 free credits and leave without closing their bookshelves or account.  So this is the only way that PBS has to delete those dormant or abandoned accounts.  It's not fun at all, but at least it helps in finding those accounts.

ETA - Sandy - they have 5 days and a few hours.  The deadline hits during the early hours of the day.

I have had the same problem lately, several of my wish list books have timed out, then there were no more available. One is currently about to time out and this person even pm'd me. And I have had two books I listed get put on wishlist hold and then never ordered.

It is frustrating.  I posted 2 WL books this week that went through multiple people. Very annoying. But they were both picked up and I take some small consolation in knowing I helped put a red flag on a couple of possible inactives. 

the system red flags people that don't respond to WL offers or to book requests.  There isn't anything we can do specifically other than not cancel orders (if we have requested the book) so that the system will make that account inactive
