Emma Holly rocks! Contemporary story of 2 friends & their love lives.
From the back cover: With Beatrix's mother gone, the fate of the exclusive chain of boutiques rest in the hands of handsome Englishman PHilip Carmichael. With temptation so near at hand, the time has finally come for her to find out if the attraction simmering between them all these years will live up to its sizzling promise. Meanwhile, Bea asks her best friend, Lela, to run the New York boutique. But Lela needs management lessons - and turn to enigmatic executive Simon Graves. They strike a devil's bargain: for each lesson Simon gives, Lela will exchange a night of sexual bliss. It's a perfect arrangement, until Simon threatens the very future of the chain - not to mention Lela's dearest friendship.

The best of its kind. There isn't any better when Emma Holly decides to write contemporary romance.

Very steamy! Didn't really get into the gay love scenes but if you are curious this might float your boat.

Emma Holly writes some of the best love scenes in print, with enough steam to fog in JFK for a week. Having said that, I feel I must say that this is probably one of the worst books I've read in a while. It was nothing more than a bunch of extremely erotic sex scenes loosely strung together with minimal plot. What started out as Beatrix's story somehow evolved into Lela's love affair with her ex-BF's boss...after the ex-BF set them up and got hot for Beatrix. Yuck with a capital Y. The only reason this one gets 2 stars from me is for the really good sex. It's the only reason I kept reading.

I liked all the characters in this book and how they all overcame various insecurities. Yes, there is a lot of sex in the book but it is very well written and I found the story very interesting. Much better than I thought it would be.

follows 2 friends from paris to new york to rome to london. Neither heroin was fully developed. I thought I could really like them if we had more depth about them. The sex was varied, multiple partners and male on male, female on female, but id not progress the story it just seemed to be there.

An incredibly erotic, twisted story - It is just incredible how the twists and tangles of everyday life add complications to the simplest of activities. A great read from the first page to the last! 5 stars without a doubt!

Set in the high speed, high style world of Paris fashion, with hot story line.

Very good romance with a small amount of drama!!

Pretty good book, though I prefer single couple storylines. I loved the bits on Bea & Philip and didn't care much for Lela or Andrew. Simon was a sympathetic character with a warm and loving family; lela didn't deserve him.

I prefer a little more plot and romance than this one has. Prefer other books of hers.
