This is one of the best books I have read in many years. A story of elite people who are caught on an island when a monumental tsunami hits the island wiping out all traces of the civilization they had known. The author starts out explaining just how tsunamis are formed, which was fascinating. The story continues on how these people have to start all over again learning how to survive and rebuilding their lives as a community and family. It wasn't easy but they perservered. Just a great read and extremely informative as well. I loved this book.
