My only big problem with the book is the title--it should be The Science of Christmas. I think most of the chapters deal with non-physics!

It is an interesting an informative book. I think it was good I read it a chapter here and there over the course of the holidays--I am not sure all at once would have been absorbable or kept my attention.

Covered everything from turkey baking to reindeer to cloned Christmas trees to the Bethlehem star (which was fascinatingly well done, by the way--the point that if it was a nova that someone in Bethlehem would have noticed it and the magi telling about it not be a surprise, and thus it was probably some arrangement of normal stars was a very interesting one). I think it touched on all branches of science and a few bits of history and similar as well.

Interesting to read. Each bit can be read separately so a good book to carry on a trip.
