The famous artist, Picasso: whose art has been enjoyed by many. Marina Picasso, his granddaughter, tells the true story of living in the realm of a great artist, a life that was devoid of attention and love from a grandfather, and also, the lack of involvement in his son's life. The pain of the families lives is written in detail. While each begged for Picasso's attention, he could not give to his family what it so wanted, to be loved and accepted. Marina Picasso tells of overcoming the dark days of her life: the death of a grandfather, the poisoning of her brother resulting in death, her father dying. This book was an "eye-opener" for me, to a Picasso I never knew.
Marina uses her Picasso inheritance to establish orphanages schools, and necessities for children in Vietnam. A GREAT read!
