Here is the 1985-1986 edition of Dorothy Hammond's highly praised and successful 'Pictorial Price Guide to American Antiques'. This new edition prices and illustrates over 5,000 objects in over 300 catagories in the collecting field. In this edition however, every entry and photograph is new. As before, each entry is keyed to an auction price, the year the piece was sold, and the location or state -- all essential information for proper evaluation of the prices quoted. Additionally, a comprehensive index is included.
Dorothy Hammond writes the popular "Collectables" column for Colonial Homes magazine.

My Review: This book was so easy to use. The pages are chock full of reference pictures. It tells you what you are looking at, the year made, sizes & dimentions, condition of the particular piece in photo & value.
There are china cabinets, vases, desks, chairs. knick nacks, clocks, settees, tables, quilts, toys, glasswares, crocks, etc etc etc. Something for everyone. Fun book, even just to browse through if you love antiques!
