Wow! Just, wow. Richly detailed characters collide in this fascinating tale of untimely death and challenged loyalties. Robin Laws' first novel combines emotional and metaphysical introspection with the swift violence, quirky players, and clandestine power struggles one might find in a 2000 AD, Warhammer or Dark Future novel. I was unfamiliar with the Over the Edge setting, but could easily wish for 20 more novels like this one.
