I have a very good hard cover copy of 'Pilgrim's Inn' by Elizabeth Goudge.  It has no DJ; was published in 1948.  That is the only date in the book, so I suppose it might be a first edition, but I don't know that for sure.  It has no musty smell, is a tight copy, and has a tiny ink mark on the edge of some of the final pages, but is not on the actual face of any of the pages.  Inside the cover is a two page spread with sketches of each of the characters of the book.
