In the years that I have had this book, I have never used it. Why you ask? With the improvements in today's medicines, plus also, now what all they are putting in it, I would rather call up my vet and ask her what we should do. She knows best. And sometimes, giving them people pills only makes the situation worse. So I would rather call up my vet, ask for help, or take them in and get medicine that the vet says will work, be it people or animal medicine.
Just think of it this way too, what if you give your animal a pill from this book, and here, you were wrong about what was needed. Say you think they have a fever, but on the inside, there's something really wrong, but you give them a pill for the fever, not thinking about what could be causing it, and you do more harm compared to doing good with that pill. That's why I just trust the vet.
