Great Story
Summary: a disappointment.
I am wondering why the publisher didn't do a better job of editing this trilogy...right down to a single saga!
Felt like author spent 1/2 the book (middle) wandering through bleak winter landscape w/white idiots, sorry, I meant the army. Extremely dull & no advancement of the story!
The real reading enjoyment lies with the Putnam farm & the Native American's various villages.
I wasn't happy about the battle, or the loss of characters, either. But I guess we know how this story ends.
I'll have to force myself to pick up the next book, and not because of the horrific cliff-hanger. Drama for the sake of drama does not a good book make!
