Linda Chaikin has an exceptional gift for making the reader feel a part of the story. If you like romance, historical settings, adventure, mystery, and a solid plot with a good clean Christian perspective than you will love this series. Chaikin's descriptive style has a way of transporting the reader to a world that ignites the senses. You can almost feel the texture of the clothes, smell the sweetness of the flowers, taste the scrumptiousness of the food, and feel the salty sea air whipping in your face. But be aware ~ Chaikin also has a tendency to write her stories in trilogy style where in order to get the full story you have to read all three books! Best Advice: If there is more than one in the series, do not start reading them until you have them all!
