This book was slow starting, and throughout I just couldn't get into it. It had it wonderful moments though. It just seems like it was lacking something, that it brought in too many things and then didn't finish to it's fullest. It isn't your light read, it lightly touches on some touchy subjects. The only character that truly came alive for me from the start was Tobias.

Not always a fan of Hickman, this one caught my eye...and I'm glad it did. In some ways this is a tale of everyday life, in other ways a tale of extraordinary lives. Poignant and heart wrenching as parts of it were, I loved the ride.
